Tunable magnetic and magnetotransport properties in locally epitaxial La<sub>0.67</sub>Sr<sub>0.33</sub>MnO<sub>3</sub> thin films on polycrystalline SrTiO<sub>3</sub>, by control of grain size

Abstract La 0.67 Sr 0.33 MnO 3 (LSMO) thin films have been grown by pulsed laser deposition on SrTiO using combinatorial substrate epitaxy (CSE) approach, i.e. polycrystalline substrates with micrometer-size grains. The crystallographic domains size of those can be controlled between 2 and 45 µ m depending the annealing temperature during synthesis. Each grain acts as a single crystalline growth template promoting local reproduction structure in film. Therefore, fine-tuning metrics high quality locally epitaxial LSMO film, allows to combine advantages polycrystalline, presence low field magnetoresistance (LFMR) possibility use very films, pronounced magnetic shape anisotropy. For this, transport properties are showing strong influence varying substrate. High Curie temperatures, important values LFMR anisotropy for optimized relative orientation film plane underline advantage CSE approach. obtained may an interest high-resolution sensors application.
